Bruin Don Hansen

Happy 7-week Birthday Bruin!!! I never announced the birth of my newest little nephew, because I wanted to show a picture of him. Well finally I stole a picture off of Stacy's new blog. Cute little Bruin was born May 5 at 3:31 p.m. 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 19.5 inches long. (Same height as Maks, but a little heavier). My brother, Aaron, and his wife, Stacy, soon learned after Bruin was born that he had bilateral clubfoot. When I first heard the news, I was a little stunned and speechless. I wondered to myself, "What are they going to do???" And then you ask yourself, "What would I do if this was my child????" Well, Stacy and Aaron are very strong individuals and have tons of faith. Stacy is seriously such a Wonder WOMAN and great example to me. I am so glad and proud she is my sister-in-law!! She recently started a blog and you can check it out to see Bruin's progress. He is making great strides (no pun intended)! I can't wait to meet him in July when I go and visit. And I know Maks is so excited to have a new little boy cousin (no offense Hincklee)!

Maks is so lucky to have cousins so close to his age.
They'll all get to play together every year at family reunions.

My last name is Allen. I don't ever use last names on my blog because I heard you weren't supposed to put a lot of personal info like that on the blog. Just in case there are weirdo's looking at it! I know, I am paranoid.

I have never hear of the name Bruin before. That is cool. I hope everything works out with his club feet and he will be running around with Max in no time!

BTW thanks Becca for the comment. You are my best blogger commenter (if that is even a word??)

love him! he is so cute. It's crazy how we always expect everything to come out perfect and sometimes although it may not at first appear to be, it really is. I bet they will do just great with little Bruin. What a cool name too!

There are a few different things to consider when deciding to do a VBAC or not.
1-How many previous c-sections. (If they have had multiple c-sections before, then I would not recommend it because the risk of uterine rupture increases.)
2-Why did they have to have the c-section. (For certain reasons such as if the head was too large or pelvis was too small then I would not try another vaginal delivery because it would probably have the same result...c/section.)
3-what hospital are they delivering at. (The doctors I work with will only do VBAC's at a certain hospital.)
4-How readily available will the doctor be. (When they have a VBAC in labor they stay at the hospital the whole time so in case there is an emergency!)
There are pro's and con's to VBAC's so I would talk to the doctor and see what he suggests (because it is varies with each situation and individual.) I think I would be for a VBAC's if the doctor recommended it.

As for VAGINAL epidurals I don't know much about them so I don't really have an opinion. Do you mean just having a local block done in the vaginal area?
sorry that was so long. I hope it helped. Let me know if you have any ?'s!
